Horseback riding - 11/29/14

We went horseback riding again. Sadie requested the same horse she had last time. She loves to let her stop to eat so she will gallop to catch up to the rest!

Noni* & Brian sent fake snowballs and the "kids" had a great time enjoying them!

Thanksgiving parade - 11/27/14

Sadie saw Santa & Mrs. Claus on the Macy's parade. She was so excited! This was a little dramatic because she knew I was recording since I missed the initial reaction....still cute

Hip Hop - 11/20/14

Sadie loves her hip hop class. Some of the kids are in competitions and have been doing it for a few years but she keeps up pretty well. The little boy in the boots is the man!!

Assembly - French - 11/21/14

The 1st graders performed a Thanksgiving day poem in French! Most were thankful for their families, Sadie for her dog...

Assembly - Daisies - 11/21/14

The Daisies did a mini-color guard for the school. They also lead daily pledge (in English & French).

Assembly - Veterans song - 11/7/14

Each year they do a slide show with pictures of the kids family members that have served in the armed forces. While the slide show played, all the kids sang.

Sing like a Star Performance - 11/4/14

Sadie once again KILLED it at her Sing like a Star performance! She is so animated and I can't believe how comfortable she is on stage! Also love how she picked up a twang!! Great job Sadie!!

Assembly - poem - 9/26/14

In honor of the Lego movie that the school put on, Sadie's class did a lego poem and the best part is the song at the end! It's a shame Sadie couldn't get into it ;)

Sadie said she wanted to be a dolphin for Halloween. Stayce saw this one and I asked her to get it for me. Obviously, Sadie was SUPER excited (although now doesn't know if she wants to be that for Halloween).

Beach day - 9/21/14

Sadie and Andy took a trip down to the beach. Sadie loves it even if the waters freezing!

Water balloons - 9/19/14

Sadie was dying to have a water balloon fight and they decided to do it on the trampoline. Sadie was getting mad because she couldn't break the balloons and Andy was getting sore from being pelted by them!

Keemia's bday party - 9/14/14

Keemia had her bday party at a dollhouse/tea party place. They dressed up and did a fashion show. Sadie can really work the runway!!

Galapagos - Sea Lions - 8/7/14

Awww, cute sea lions! The other one is nursing. It is amazing that they are no afraid of anyone!!

Galapagos - Kid flying - 8/7/14

On a hike the kids found a windy spot to fly!! Then they found a little part they named "Kidlandia" and came up with rules and a flag!!

The Albatross does a little mating dance that looks like sword fighting!!

The blow hole was really pretty and unexpected.

Dallas - boating - 9/1/14

A final day of boating and Sadie went for a little ride. She loved it and went pretty fast. She was very brave and adventurous!!

Dallas - bull riding - 8/31/14

Sadie tried riding a mechanical bull for the first time at the rodeo! She did awesome. During she was busy concentrating but at the end she had a big smile!!

No trip to the lake house is complete without Dairy Queen and the rodeo!! This lady was awesome and actually ended up doing this with 5 horses at a time!!

Dallas - soap party - 8/30/14

After a day of boating, the kids did a soap party on the trampoline. Pouring soap on it and jumping makes lots of bubbles! Sadie however would get super upset if the bubbles blew off the trampoline!

Sadie tried tubing for the first time. I don't think she was sure if she liked it or not. Jake and Julia were great going WAY slower than they normally do!

We went on a whale and dolphin watching trip in Santa Barbara. We saw a few whales and a million dolphins (Sadie's favorite)!! Here are some. Andy does not know not to turn the camera mid-video so sorry most is sideways!

The tortoises were amazing. It was like watching dinosaurs...but really slow....

Sadie found probably the only duck around and practiced her duck call. it started to come over to see what she wanted too!!

Sadie did a camp called Pop Divas (appropriate). The ribbon bandage did not slow her down. Performing takes over and the show must go on!! She did awesome!!

Sadie tried out her new snorkel set that she got from Noni* for our Galapagos trip. The key was that the fins stayed on her mini feet!!

Even a broken collar bone does not stop Sadie from swimming, bandage and all....

Pool flip - 6/22/14

Sadie just decided that she was going to do a flip into the pool. I thought that was the 1st time she did it but then realized I had another video of her doing it last year! Still impressive....

Sadie & Gracie love to put on shows when they are together. This is Sadie's portion of their free dance.

1st day of camp - 6/16/14

Sadie had an awesome time on the 1st day of camp and she loves going on the bus (since she'll probably never get to do it for school).

Ballet recital - 6/15/14

Sadie did great at her ballet recital. It was so cute. Apparently they say its illegal to video tape at the civic center (personally I think its so they can sell their own video). In any case, one of the other dads bootlegged the performance. I wish I would've but oh well. Sadie is at the far left and is cut out some of the times (his daughter is last on the other end, and Sheridan is next to her). But its better than nothing I guess and their professional video doesn't come for another couple months, of which I did not buy. You get the idea.

Hoola hoop artist - 6/14/14

Since Sadie had a 50's party for her birthday, we got a hoola hoop artist to come. Aside from games and showing them how to do some tricks, this is a little of what she did.

The Kindergartners performed their last poem for the school. As always they did a great job.

Sadie had another performance at school, this time a group performance. Notice she lip syncs everyone else's parts and jumps in if someone forgets....

Voice lessons - 5/22/14

Sadie practicing her Star Power song. The "hat" is actually a purse pouch that for some reason she loves to use as a hat. She is also loves looking in the mirror thats across from her as she sings!

LAUP Voiceover - 5/20/14

This is Sadie's voice on this commercial!! She did the photo shoot for it as well and they loved her. Its running in LA on ABC and the pictures are supposed to be all over LA county (on buses and billboards) I think sometime starting in Sept!!

Sadie loved to let her horse stop to eat so she would trot to catch up. She did it over and over again!! May have to get her some lessons...

Stagecoach - 4/26/14

Walking out to get food, Andy & Jodi busted into dance and continued to dance walk!! Great time! Thanks Noni for watching Sadie for the weekend!!

We were flying back from St. John on Easter so the easter bunny came that night and Sadie had a hunt in the morning!

Deer were outside our room all the time in St. John. Sadie wanted to send it to Sheridan.

We tested out the underwater video camera. Andy was the tester which explains the quality ;). Otherwise it works pretty good!

Andy finally got to try paddle boarding. I kept trying to get him fall but he held on!

SB zoo - feeding giraffes - 3/30/14

One of Sadie's favorite things at the Santa Barbara zoo is feeding the giraffes. It is amazing. This giraffe is 14 feet tall and is the dad to all of the babies there....

Sing like a star performance - 3/26/14

Sadie sang the song Brave by Sara Bareilles for the class. She did AWESOME!! She did a great job moving around the stage and didn't have to depend on the teacher. Too bad the spotlight is blaring her but we all know what she looks ;)

The kindergarteners had a busy month and performed at all of this months assemblies. They only had a week to memorize this poem.

Velcro wall - 3/15/14

Every year we go to the Rec center for their St. Patrick's day party (Sadie loves the Irish step dancers!!). They had a velcro wall, which apparently needs new velcro...

Assembly - Bear song - 3/7/14

Sadie's school does a "Bear Day" where everyone brings a bear. The former school head started 30 years ago (yikes!) when Cabbage Patch Kids came out. They had kids bring in a bear because they knew everyone had one and wouldn't be left out if they weren't able to get a Cabbage Patch for whatever reason. The former head (she still works in the office) has over 150 bears of her own!!

Dancing at BBall game - 3/1/14

We went to Pepperdine to see Sam Scholl's team play. Sadie can't help but entertain everyone with her dancing!!

Rainy day - rockin - 3/1/14

During the rain, Sadie had to play and make up a song. She's also wearing a bathing suit under the rain coat just to make sure!!

We had a huge rain last month. We needed it but I'm glad it was brief. Luckily the back yard didn't flood too bad but Sadie loved playing in it!!

Daisies - Senior Center - 2/28/14

The Daisies took a field trip to the Senior Center. They handed out flower necklaces that they made and sang a couple songs. Everyone loved them!

Joy riding - 2/25/14

Sheridan got a new car so they took it for a ride. This is an early glimpse in to our future...oh boy!

1/2 time cheer routine - 2/23/14

The girls performed for 1/2 time to the song 'Roar' by Katy Perry. Its a bit hard to hear at first but they did an awesome job. So cute!!

Sadie has her first wiggly tooth! She wanted to send this the Sheridan with the news. I haven't let her wiggle it though because she has head shots on the 23rd...and I don't want her to loose any teeth in general...mean mommy....
