Four Seasons - Santa - 12/1/13
Before it was time for the "snow" we came in to say hi to Santa! These 2 talked his poor ear off! Good thing there was no else really waiting!!

Fishing - 11/30/13
We took all the kids fishing before the Iyers left back to Seattle. They all caught fish too (which is bad when you have to pay for them all)!! Sadie btw, did not eat any this time once it was home and cooked...but all the boys did!

We went to a girl scout movie night with a bunch of other local troops of all ages. At the end, they got in a circle and did the Girl Scout closing song. Brings back memories!

Veterans day assembly - 11/8/13
While the school sang this song (Sadie's class is not on stage), they showed pictures of veterans in the families. You can't really see it but during this there were 2 pictures of Andy's maternal grandpa!! Thanks Veterans!!
School Jogathon - 11/7/13
Sadie raised $400 for the school jogathon, thanks to many of you!! She did 7 laps (in class I think they've only done 2 or 3)!!

I dug out the Dick & Jane books that I have for Sadie to practice. Each night I flip to a new one to let her do. This is part of her reading this story. She did great!!

Instead of the pumpkin patch, Sadie's class went to the Civic center to see the Chinese Acrobats! They were great!

This is the last Individual Medley of the season. Her butterfly is getting better and she has improved on her other strokes! It will feel like forever until April when we can start again! Go SADIE!!!

CA Adventure Goofy ride - 10/6/13
Sadie loved this ride too. She had to go on it twice (and wanted to go again)!! I'll take a big roller coaster any day but was leery of this one because on the curves I thought there was no way SAdie's weight was going to keep us from not tipping off the side!!!

1st assembly performance - 9/20/13
Every Friday at school, they have an assembly in their "formal" uniforms. Certain classes perform their "contribution" for the entire school and the parents that come. They will perform every 2-3 weeks so you will see lots of these! This was the Kindergartens 1st "contribution". They did great!
Disney Commercial 5 - 9/18/13
This is the best of all the commercials that we have seen so far! Way to go Sadie!!!
(This "doctor's office" is actually a garage that they emptied and redecorated on the spot! Amazing!)
1st Tennis lesson - 9/17/13
Sadie starting taking tennis lessons and loves it. SHe thinks she is going to go to the championship if you ask her! She is very excited by her hit!

We went to Neverland to swim when we were visiting Sean and Jodi. Sadie was really brave and went off the high dive many times after this one!!

Sadie and Gracie decided to put on a show for us and spend a good portion of the morning practicing....they did a great job taking turns being the "lead"!

We got to spend a couple nights with our friends Sean & Jodi who just moved up to the ranch in Santa Ynez to run her family's wine business. Sadie and Gracie have know each other since they were about 4 months old. This will be a tough adjustment for everyone but we have invited ourselves up for regular visits ;) Sadie and Gracie decided to put on a show for us and spend a good portion of the morning practicing....

Water slide crying - 8/28/13
Ann rented a water slide for the end of summer. Sadie did not want to go down it but of course I made her do it. She cried the whole way down...

We went with the Pitts to see Taylor Swift. This was the girls singing on the way to the concert (with the guys commenting in the 3rd row). Sorry its sideways, I can't turn it...
Disney Commercial 1 - 8/19/13
Sadie auditioned for a Disney commercial and got it! This is the first one that we saw air (there have been several since)! So exciting to see our baby on TV!! Good job Sadie!!
Chicago - Icream - 8/21/13
My dad sent a youtube video of an ice cream place that was started in Chicago called Icream that uses liquid Nitrogen to make ice cream on the spot. Sadie watched the video 100 times and really wanted to go (and so did I). It was fun to watch although they no longer make it whatever color you want. They also make hot pudding with an espresso steaming nozzle. That was also really good (I had to try both...)

This water mat was one of the best purchases from Noni* and I think all the grandkids still get use out of it! Ours resides in Chicago for our trips and Sadie still loves it!

We went to the Ventura county fair and Sadie's favorite was the spinny dinosaur ride (like the tea cups). The best part is that I was just about to say this same thing to her!!

Sadie attended a week long cheer camp with a former Laker girl. Her and Sheridan we by far the youngest there with girls all the way to 10 years old. She had an awesome time and at the end of the week they put on a performance.

Body surfing - 8/4/13
The day we left, Andy showed Sadie how to body surf. She did a couple really good too (of course the best one before I filmed!)
Snorkeling - 8/3/13
Sadie LOVED snorkeling and was really good at it! This isn't the best video, they're up by the top. Andy would tell her to go in one direction and she would dart off in the other chasing after a fish, even diving down with the snorkel and then keep going. Great fish in this spot (you can even see them from the top). If you re-watch, you can see a huge fish go past the bottom!!

Sadie was nominated by our table to go up for the group lesson. She had been hoping that they were going to do it from the time she knew we were going. Many people wanted to take pictures with her!! She loved being a true hawaiian girl!!

Tropical storm Flossie - 7/29/13
Went to Maui a day early so we could be there before the storm. Good thing the flights on our original day were canceled! Fortunately, this is the worst that we had and it only last a day or so. Andy brought every granola bar from our house, plus trail mix and bought extra water at the airport. He was definitely prepared for worse!!

Sadie did great at her 1st swim meet even though she didn't want to do it when it was time, she sucked it up and gave it her all! She was the only one truly doing the breaststroke the whole way (one girl did the dog paddle for part). So proud of her!!

1st day of swim team - 6/17/13
Sadie joined a swim team. This was the 1st day. After the 1st week, we bumped her up to the next group. She had her 1st meet and got 2nd in the breast stroke and didn't want to do freestyle. I don't think she likes the competition!
Recital rehearsal - 6/15/13
Sadie had her ballet recital at the Thousand Oaks Civic Center (where we see alot of plays). It is forbidden to film in there so this is some of the rehearsal. There are 3 parts to this too...sorry. Sadie is about in the middle of the 1st white table. Good thing Andy is tall!
Closing ceremonies - 6/13/13
The school did a closing ceremony for the end of school. Many of these songs they did throughout the year and some every day. Sadie got to be the flag holder! Sorry its in 3 pieces...
Disneyland piano - 6/11/13

Sometimes the music just hits her and she has to dance! I am hoping that since this table is so big that she thinks its a stage as opposed to a glimpse into our future!
Mothers day at Santa Barbara zoo - 5/12/13
The last couple of years we have gone to the SB zoo in the morning on Mothers day. The kids area has a hill that they slide down on boxes. Sadie loved it!
Pre-K play 3 Piggy Opera Part 1 - 5/9/13
My video was not great so I got a copy from the dad of the girl next to Sadie. I broke it into 2 parts, 1) because its big and 2) if you only want to watch part, the 2nd part is the main part with Sadie, the brick pig. The whole thing was pretty cute and they all did such a great job!

Sadie was coloring on the table while practicing her French. Kind-of hard to hear but I was trying to get it without her knowing!
